With the CoViD-19 pandemic forcing people to stay at home, online binge-watching became everyone’s go-to pastime. Sex Education (2019 - Present)

One of the most popular series today, Sex Education, is a comedy-drama show. It revolves around the sex introduction and education of a socially-awkward teenage boy named Otis. Along for the ride are his fellow high schoolers. With a sex therapist as a mother, Otis used his insider’s knowledge (and his mom’s notes) to become a sort-of expert. He then offered sex advice to his classmates.

Otis' journey comes with his discovery, exploration, and analysis of the youth’s sexual behavior and sexuality. Now with three seasons, the show dwells on a wide range of topics and issues. These include teenage pregnancy, the LGBTQ, sexual assault, trauma, and of course, sex.

Friday Night Dinner (2011 - 2020)

Friday Night Dinner is famous for its charming characters and unending slapstick pranks. It centers on the lives of brothers Adam and Jonny Goodman.

This family sitcom tells the story of the Goodmans. They're a Jewish family that enjoys weekly Friday night gatherings. And, somehow, these always end up in chaos.

Mr. Bean (1990 - 1995)

There is no one more iconic than Rowan Atkinson’s Mr. Bean when it comes to British comedy. Despite the lack of dialogue, Atkinson’s portrayal of the child-like Bean created a light-hearted show filled with often harmless antics.

Although there is really not much story in the series, Mr. Bean’s mischievousness and perseverance caught the attention of people worldwide. If you can’t get enough of the show, check out Bean: The Movie and Mr. Bean’s Holiday.

The Office (2001 - 2003)

The British version of the famous The Office sitcom was not as popular as its American counterpart when it first aired. Compared to its American nine-long series adaptation, the Office UK’s two-season series was cut relatively short. Yet, this mockumentary sitcom still offers the same amount of laughs and gags much suited for their English audience.

Watch as the series depicts and narrates the daily struggles and mundane life of the people from The Office. All the while also providing relatable characters, punchlines, and pranks. Even though it has only 14 episodes, The Office UK has been adapted in 8 countries. It was the most-streamed show series in 2020 - almost two decades after the first episode aired.
